The Problem: Sodexho is the leading food and facilities management services company in North America serving over 4,700 locations. Sodexho is making a large investment in the implementation of a new data warehouse and SAP financial reporting system. The biggest challenge facing them is to implement and integrate a new information delivery system to support their remote locations and field users, utilizing an existing infrastructure, and without disrupting current production systems.
The Solution: Sodexho chose ATC for our expertise in implementing large-scale remote and mobile systems as well as our expertise with XcelleNet’s RemoteWare. ATC developed a complete requirements definition, system design, and implementation plan for a comprehensive information delivery system. It included system redundancy, simplified processes, and an application for critical report distribution to the field from Sodexho’s SAP system.
The system allows Sodexho to deploy, manage and maintain applications and data in the field. Patch management, software distribution, logging, reporting and many other functions are in use everyday. Disaster recovery, redundancy and fail-safe processes were implemented for this enterprise.
The Results: The ATC team successfully implemented the solution, developed documentation and trained their personnel to manage and maintain the system. The solution is widely used and has enabled Sodexho to significantly reduce the cost of supporting the field systems with high levels of reliability.
