The Problem: Beverage Distributors Corporation is the largest distributor of wine and spirits in the sate of Colorado. Over 200 sales people in the field could not service customers effectively with the manual systems and lack of information – especially to turn around orders during the peak season.
The Solution: BDC required a reliable and easy-to-use system to support sales people and service customers. Managing applications in the field and achieving 100% connection success rate were absolutely essential. ATC implemented a completely new communications infrastructure at Beverage Distributors. This provided the backbone that allowed BDC to deploy applications for quick and easy delivery of vital customer information, inventory availability, price updates, sales reports and email. The system enables sales personnel to take orders from customers and communicate it reliably to the home office systems with no manual intervention. Software in field laptops is automatically updated.
The Results: The new field communications system allowed BDC to achieve a 90% reduction in monthly communication costs while greatly enhancing service to customers.
